FIT4RRI consortium
FIT4RRI is in its second year now and the project moves from the analysis phase to testing the first results. After looking at trends, barriers and drivers of Responsible Research & Innovation and Open Science in an extensive literature review and benchmarking process, considering also sectoral and geographical perspectives, we now dive into the testing phase on how RRI and Open Science work in action.
As our future developments such as training tools and guidelines for activating institutional change, build on the results of the analysis, we are now at a crucial point within the project’s lifetime. The perfect time for three important meetings: The external review at the European Commission, a meeting with the FIT4RRI advisory board and a general assembly of all project partners.
From 15-17th of October 2018, FIT4RRI met in Brussels at the office of Sapienza University to exchange on the work done in the first 18 months. We collected comments and suggestions from the external reviewer as well as advisory board members from APRE – Italian NCP, Helsinki University and ESF – European Science Foundation, and discussed our next steps.
We would like to thank our advisory board members for accepting our invitation and for giving us very valuable feedback on our work done so far. Thank you also to Sapienza University for hosting the fourth Consortium Meeting, it was a great pleasure having all the partners reunited.
We can now announce you that the next General Assembly will be held in May 2019 in the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
